Exploring Gatlinburg: Top Attractions and How Much They Cost

If it's your first time in Gatlinburg let me tell you there are a million and one different things to do and all though they might all be fun some are much more worth the money than others. So let's break down the top attractions in Gatlinburg and how much they will actually cost.

anakeesta ariel view

Anakeesta and Astra Lumina

General admission (includes chondala or ridge rambler, observation tower, treetop skywalk, challenge course, adventure play area, birdVenture): children 4-11: $23 adult: $35

Astra lumina: $17 add on

Zipline: children 7+ and 70lbs+ $60

Let me start by saying Anakeesta is a half day attraction (at least 3 hours) and we shoved it into a two hour time slot on accident, so don't make the same mistake we did, make sure you leave enough time to enjoy everything. Secondly the chairlift to the top terrified me to my very core, I never considered myself to be very afraid of heights but something about having my two small children with me caused me to shake like a leaf the whole way up and by the end I literally almost kneeled down to kiss the floor. My six year old daughter was also terrified the whole way up and fighting back tears so if I did do it again it would 100% be on the closed in ghondola or the ridge rambler (bus). We rode the ridge rambler on the way down and all though the line took awhile I wasn't afraid for my life for one moment.

After you make it to the top of Anakeesta you will find multiple slides, incredible views and different types of play areas for children. As well as great photo-ops, mountain coasters, zip-linning and gem-mining. But my favorite part of Anakeesta and the part that really made it worth the money was Astra Lumina, a one of a kind incredible light show that almost felt like transporting to a different world.
